Tattoo Appointment Deposit Policy
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your tattoo appointment upon consultation. This deposit will be deducted from the final session cost. I accept the following payment methods: cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
Please adhere to the following notice periods for appointment adjustments to avoid forfeiture of your deposit:
Rescheduling: Please inform me at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment for any rescheduling. Notifications received less than 72 hours in advance will result in the loss of your deposit.
Cancellation: Cancellation of your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit.
No Show: If you fail to attend your appointment without prior notification, your deposit will be forfeited.
Additional sessions for complex tattoos will require separate deposits.
Should you need to reschedule after forfeiting a deposit, a new deposit must be made for the new date.
Design Policy
I present tattoo designs on the day of your appointment only. There will be an opportunity to discuss and adjust the design if necessary.
Frequently Asked questions
Tattoo costs are influenced by various elements such as the size, placement on the body, and intricacy of the design. Every tattoo is unique to the individual, which means pricing varies from one client to another.
Yes, a deposit is necessary to secure your appointment slot. The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the final cost of your tattoo. The amount required for a deposit correlates with the projected size and complexity of the tattoo, as well as the anticipated duration of the session.
If you cancel your appointment, the deposit is non-refundable and will be lost. However, if you need to reschedule, you can do so without forfeiting your deposit, provided that you notify me at least 48 hours in advance and it's not a habitually repeated issue.
The sensation of receiving a tattoo can vary widely depending on factors such as the tattoo’s size and location, your pain threshold, and the artist’s technique. Some clients experience minimal discomfort, while others may feel more pronounced pain, especially in sensitive areas like the ribs or feet. However, it is uncommon for clients to find the experience intolerable.
I offer cover-up tattoos, though the approach differs from a standard tattoo. Cover-ups usually require a larger design, and in some instances, your initial idea might not be feasible. We can explore alternative designs, and occasionally, laser removal sessions might be suggested to lighten the existing tattoo before proceeding with the cover-up.
To ensure you’re well-prepared for your tattoo session, follow these guidelines:
- Hydrate well before and on the day of your appointment.
- Keep your skin moisturized leading up to the session but avoid applying any lotions 24 hours before your appointment.
- Refrain from consuming alcohol or taking aspirin, blood thinners, or NSAIDs at least a day prior.
- Rest well the night before and eat a substantial meal before your appointment to maintain your pain tolerance.
- Shower in advance to ensure your skin is clean.
- Dress in comfortable attire that you don't mind getting stained with ink.
- Consider bringing personal entertainment, such as headphones or reading material, and a valid photo ID.
- Cash payments are preferred to avoid transaction fees, though credit cards are accepted if necessary (a 3% fee applies).
